Coffee again, more coffee
Something like chocolate
To unclean the mouth
To remove the clean stench,
Get back to indulgence.
Re-stain the teeth
With honeyed tea
With more saturated, healthy-in-pseudoscience chocolate
Oh, with hard, black coffee.
Strain a drink out,
Make it a process of many steps
To justify the revival
Of stomach-lining survival
Burning within
Burning without.
I thirst for steaming coffee
But toothpaste mint lingers,
I’ll wash off with a chocolate, or two, or three,
To return as a binger,
Harbinger of another coffee.
